A few days ago the Killer Whale Pod Cast (KWPC) released a show about Cybersecurity, a subject very present in our minds here at GOSH. For those who don’t know, KWPC is a GOSH affiliate which stands, at once, as a current events show and as the GOSH blockchain system fund, which will be up and running as soon as GEX is launched.
The first guest was Cybersecurity expert and a founder of CNC Enerprise, Hubert Chenut. Cybersecurity threats and prevention options were discussed as well as why it's so important to bring awareness to this subject.
Hubert spoke about the most common types of cyber attacks and the risks that companies face. In recent years, numerous high-profile cyber attacks have resulted in sensitive data being exposed. For this, the 2017 Equifax breach compromised the personal data of roughly 143 million consumers, including birth dates, addresses and Social Security numbers. In 2018, Marriott International disclosed that hackers accessed its servers and stole the data of roughly 500 million customers. In both instances, the cyber security threat was enabled by the organization’s failure to implement, test and retest technical safeguards, such as encryption, authentication and firewalls.
Later on the show’s presenters were joined by Mitja Goroshevsky, GOSH co-founder and CEO. He spoke about possible strategies for cyber attack prevention, and in particular the solutions we at GOSH offer.
We feel this show answered these questions particularly astutely. If you are interested you can watch the show here:
