Decentralization Bonanza and Bubaleh
Glossary of Terms:
Decentralization, means ‘almost decentralization’
Bonanza, means ‘live stream’
Bubaleh, means ‘Airdrop’ (in Yiddish)
On Friday, March 10th, at 13:00 UTC, the GOSH development team will conduct a live stream — doubling as a veritable bonanza! — in which GOSH tokens will be distributed to all the developers who contributed to the repository code and content creation of the GOSH blockchain, as well as any other supporters of the project who made meaningful contributions to making it a reality.
And we would love to welcome all to join.
This is not, however, a financial event. The tokens that will be distributed are Governance Tokens that will allow us to realize that aim we so sincerely believe in…
The Decentralization of the GOSH Blockchain
This stream will be a live launch of the GOSH DAO on the GOSH chain. In real time you will see the process of DAO creation and management, as well as the voting on initial distribution of tokens to these members. This will also showcase our solution and decision making tools for open source software.
Let us note that we are decentralizing the DAO governance before decentralizing the hardware of the network — and we strongly believe that doing it in this order is vital. Decentralization of hardware, as important as it is, cannot substitute for the Decentralization of the code.
Here at GOSH we are building a platform for code decentralization and management. It is absurd to think that we will not decentralize at the first opportunity. We put our
money tokens where our mouth is.
Stay Secure, No Securities
The GOSH tokens that will be distributed are purely DAO Membership tokens which will not be for sale.
Do we mean that this Friday we are going to be completely decentralized? No, of course not. A lot of the token holders will be connected in some way. But Rome wasn’t built in a day and it took 380,000 years for the first atoms to form and disperse after the Big Bang… And these are first steps of our journey, though let's hope it doesn’t take as long, and we would be honored to have you, dear reader, as witness.
During the stream, GOSH DAO members will vote for, on-chain, and discuss contributions from other members. You can expect to hear phrases like: “Oh I know this dude!” and “Cool beans old pal!” And in return these contributors will earn Governance Tokens, and viewers will be able to meet the developers behind the work.
Some Governance Tokens will also be Airdropped to new members of the GOSH DAO. Anyone can become a member, and we invite everyone to participate. If you think you’ve ever contributed in any way to GOSH or would want to in the future, go to this page:
Sign in with GitHub following these instructions
(Remember not to upload the whole internet as we are under load and it may take more time)
Go to GOSH repository https://app.gosh.sh/o/gosh/ and click ‘Send a request to DAO’
Please do not forget to provide a reason for the request in the comment section
GOSH extends this invitation to you all out of a belief in inclusivity, openness, and decentralization. We are not promising to include everybody, we are not promising to actually give any tokens, after all it is a decision of all the DAO members.
In the future, GOSH developers will continue, from time to time, holding streams for demos, product releases, and other such tomfoolery. To stay posted on all future GOSH events:
